Red Rock

Rock Rock Canyon State Park is probably the most underrated park in all of California. With its cathedral-like cliffs and burnt red hues, the topography is truly otherworldly.

Some of the park’s most beautiful features can be found right off the highway, with minimal (if any) hiking…so it’s a great “add-on” destination as you’re driving up the 14 and 395. You can certainly spend all day exploring the area, but if you’re tight on time, make sure to check out Red Cliffs Nature Trail and Hagen Nature Trail.
